I will be showing a drawing from my new series at 120710, a new gallery near my studio in the Gilman District in Berkeley.
NEW MOON FIGURE EIGHT is a group show curated by Gaby Wolodarski and focuses on the notion that figuration and abstraction might be two sides of the same coin. Or perhaps a false binary best understood through embodied experience of cyclical time. The show is an eclectic attempt to bring these two pictorial/plastic modes into tension in order to explore how identity is constructed and how the mind makes or dissolves meaning.
